What HealthCity Novena Is
HealthCity Novena is a 17-hectare integrated healthcare campus developed by the Ministry of Health, the National Healthcare Group and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, bringing together care, medical education, research and innovation. Tan Tock Seng Hospital is its anchor. Around it sit specialist centres — the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, the National Neuroscience Institute and the National Skin Centre — the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine of NTU Singapore and the Ng Teng Fong Centre for Healthcare Innovation, and step-down and community care in the TTSH Integrated Care Hub, Ren Ci Hospital and Dover Park Hospice.

The National Centre for Infectious Diseases is about two minutes on foot, Dover Park Hospice three, Ren Ci Hospital four and the National Skin Centre five. Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Novena Specialist Center and Novena Medical Center are all about ten minutes’ walk. Novena MRT’s Exit A serves Tan Tock Seng Hospital directly.
The HealthCity Novena Master Plan 2030 and Beyond
On 9 September 2025, the Minister for Health launched the HealthCity Novena Master Plan 2030 and Beyond, the second phase of the campus. It includes a new medical tower adding around 600 acute beds, and it plans healing spaces, green corridors and walking trails to connect the campus internally and with its surroundings. The first phase took over a decade to complete; the ministry has said it aims to deliver the second in about half that time.
What It Means for Residents
For doctors, nurses, researchers and students who work or study on the campus, The Serra Residences puts home a short walk from work. For families, it puts one of the country’s most complete concentrations of medical care within reach, and for the neighbourhood as a whole, the master plan promises more greenery and better walking routes.
